Estimates and assistance provided over the phone and email are free. If the project requires an in person quote, there will be a trip charge depending on the property location and extent of work needed.
Charges for small jobs are generally calculated by the hour, but a quote can be produced in advance upon request, especially for larger projects. When estimating jobs, we give price estimates or range of cost of labor for a complete project or job, this can include an "at least" threshold, and a "not to exceed" threshold. 
Currently cash and check are the preferred methods of payment. Also accepting PayPal and Venmo if an online transaction is needed. 
Unfortunately payment for services rendered is due upon completion of work, or at time of receiving an invoice. We do not accept NET15, 30, or 45, and any unpaid invoices after 30 days will receive a 15% late fee (and every 30 days after that).
For an unestablished client we may require a deposit for more costly materials or tools. Any refunds would require a transportation and re-stocking fee, depending on the supply company policies and distance traveled or shipped.
First hour is $90. This pays for startup costs and some administrative overhead. After that there is a range from $45-$80/hour depending on difficulty and experience needed. If extensive travel is needed for parts or work destination, rates are at $0.75/mile, Price is more negotiable after a regular client relationship is established.
We are fully insured with a general liability policy to protect your home in the unlikely event of an accident. Our employees are also fully insured.
It is not absolutely necessary, but we prefer to have someone at the home that is at least 18 years old. You may arrange for us to gain access to your property and to lock it after we leave. If you are out-of-state, we can provide pictures of the finish job that would be emailed along with the invoice. We treat your home with the utmost respect and care. The only thing we want to be sure about is that you leave arrangements for payment, if you are paying by check, or we can email you an invoice (due upon receipt) when job is complete.
We offer drywall repairs, painting, light plumbing, light electrical, small remodeling of kitchen and bathrooms, and other jobs, hanging and mounting of shelves and pictures and TV's. You may see a more detailed list of the services we offer at our Home Repair Services page. If we do not offer a certain service, please check our recommendations for referrals. Because of insurance liability reasons we do not work with anything gas related, roofing, pools or pool equipment, or repairs over 22 feet high. So please understand that it doesn't mean that we do not do the work for you, but if anything happens to our handymen, they would not be covered. And again, we may give you referrals if we do not perform certain services. We know the companies that we refer you to, but we are not affiliated with them.
Emergency scheduling and scheduling during nights, weekends, and holidays is never out of the question, but the burden will generally incur a %50 - %100 increase in hourly cost. 
Only if you want to. Often times a customer will have an aesthetic preference for finish carpentry, hardware, plumbing, light fixtures, vegetation, and landscaping, or other visual/tactile items. It's preferred that these are reviewed with us in advance of purchase to insure workability. Recommendations/suggestions are always available upon request, and with documented permission we will make decisions on a customers behalf with best intentions and consideration to the customers wants and needs.
Researching materials and needed parts, shopping and delivery services for those items, taxes, fees, general overhead, all create a mark up of 35-50% (most companies markup 200-300%) Doing this work oneself will take time and sometimes create problems if a customers purchase wont work, but will often save money.
You may schedule an appointment with us by either calling us or emailing us. We usually have availability within 1 to 4 weeks, depending on the season. At this time it is only Simon, so we ask you to understand if we have to push your appointment until he is available. We schedule jobs to be done Monday through Friday from 8 am and 5 pm (jobs can be scheduled outside these timeframes for an increased rate of %50-%100).
